Hope is not something we create; it’s something we receive. This powerful verse from Romans reminds us that God is the source of true hope—a hope that is not fleeting or shallow, but deeply rooted in faith. As we trust in Him, joy and peace begin to fill our hearts, pushing out anxiety, fear, and despair.
And it doesn’t stop there. Paul doesn’t pray for us to just have some hope—he prays that we would overflow with hope, fueled by the Holy Spirit. That means we’re not meant to just survive; we’re meant to thrive, to inspire others, to be light in dark places. When God fills us, it shows.
If your heart feels empty or heavy today, take a moment to realign your trust. As you lean into God, His Spirit will pour into you joy, peace, and a supernatural hope that sustains and overflows.

Gracious Father, I come to You today trusting in Your promises. Fill my heart with Your joy and peace. Let Your Holy Spirit breathe fresh hope into my life. Even when I can’t see the full picture, help me trust that You are working for my good. Let my life overflow with hope that points others to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
