“The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?”
— Psalm 27:1 (NIV)
Reflection on Today’s Verse
Fear is something we all experience at different points in life—fear of failure, fear of the unknown, fear of losing what we love. But today’s verse reminds us of a powerful truth: When the Lord is our light, salvation, and stronghold, there is nothing to fear.
Light drives out darkness, and God’s presence in our lives removes the power of fear. Salvation means that we belong to Him, and no situation or enemy can separate us from His love. A stronghold is a place of protection and safety, and in God, we find our unshakable security.
No matter what you are facing today, trust that God is your protector and your strength. When He is with you, fear has no place in your heart.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father,
You are my light, my salvation, and my stronghold. I place my fears in Your hands, knowing that You are greater than anything I face. Fill me with courage and peace, and remind me that I have nothing to fear when I am with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
