Psalm 27:1 (NIV) — Today’s Verse for February 20, 2025 Thursday

Spread the love

“The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?”

— Psalm 27:1 (NIV)

Reflection on Today’s Verse

Fear is a natural human emotion, but as believers, we are reminded that God is our ultimate source of strength and protection. This verse encourages us to place our confidence in the Lord, who is both our light (guidance and truth) and our salvation (rescuer and protector).

Many times, fear holds us back—fear of failure, fear of the unknown, or fear of challenges. But when we trust in God, we can move forward with courage, knowing that He is with us. His presence dispels darkness, and His power is greater than any challenge we may face.

Today, if you are struggling with fear, remind yourself that God is your stronghold. With Him by your side, you have nothing to be afraid of.

Personal Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being my light and my salvation. When fear tries to overwhelm me, remind me that You are my stronghold and protector. Help me to walk in faith, trusting that You are always with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
