“The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.”
— Proverbs 18:10 (NIV)
Reflection on Today’s Verse
Proverbs 18:10 beautifully portrays the Lord as a source of strength and protection. The imagery of a fortified tower evokes a sense of security and refuge, a place where we can find safety from the storms of life. For the righteous—those who trust in God—His name is a stronghold they can depend on.
This verse reassures us that in times of trouble, we have a place to run to. God’s name embodies His character: faithful, strong, and unchanging. By trusting in Him and seeking refuge in His name, we can experience His protection and peace, no matter the challenges we face.
