“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
Reflection on Today’s Verse
Life can be exhausting. The weight of responsibilities, worries, and personal struggles can leave us feeling drained. But in this verse, Jesus extends a beautiful invitation: “Come to me.” He doesn’t say, “Fix yourself first,” or “Figure it all out before you come.” Instead, He calls us just as we are—tired, broken, and burdened—offering us rest in Him.
True rest isn’t just about physical relaxation. It’s about finding peace in God’s presence, knowing that He carries our burdens and provides strength for the journey ahead. When we surrender our struggles to Him, we experience the deep, soul-refreshing rest that only He can give.
Are you feeling weary today? Take a moment to pause, pray, and rest in God’s presence. He is waiting to renew your strength.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father,
I come to You with my burdens, my worries, and my tired heart. Thank You for Your promise of rest. Help me to trust in You and find peace in Your presence. Remind me that I don’t have to carry life’s struggles alone—you are always with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
